Another post

Ok so I am planning on going to Japan sometime during summer break and I was wondering if anyone knew of any places or websites where I could find someplace to stay? Does Japan have hotels like we do where you pay to stay for months at a time rather than a day? Anything like that would be greatly appreciated. Doesn't matter which city. Preferably somewhere in Tokyo though.

Also, I looked over someones post from earlier in the community and got a couple of links to some hostel websites. But the thing is I was trying to stay for like...a month. I don't really think you can get the full effect in just a week or two. A month either for that matter but at least I can tell if I'll want to live there right after I graduate. (Musical Theatre & Japanese double major ^_^) Anyways...are there any hostels in which you can stay for more than 8 days?

Thanks in advance!

Maybe these guys? My friends stayed at their hotel and had a great experience. Maybe the guest house is the same?

Good luck!
OMG! That is hella cheap! Thank you! I will def. consider this!!!!
Great! Glad I could help and make sure to post about your trip when you get back!
Ohh, Im staying at the hotel when I go in October, so it's good to hear it's recommended.
How long are you staying?

It has internet access for 100 yen a min. There's a snack bar you can get breakfast. Expensive, but pretty convenient. It's close to the subway and a lot of bookshops. There's a store close to there that sells back issues of music magazines for super cheap. Hotel itself is clean. I think there's 2 bathrooms to floor (don't remember exactly) and the staff was pretty helpful with all of our questions.
I'll be there for a week, then I'm off to Kyoto. I can't wait :)
This site has a lodging finder for Tokyo... I found a couple of good ones with it.

google "gaijin house" + "city you want to stay in"
Hostels are a pretty good option - I stayed at J-Hoppers in Hiroshima for a night and it was really nice. Only ¥2500 a night too for the dormitory room I was staying in. I know there's another J-Hoppers in Kyoto, though I live close enough to Kyoto to not need a place to stay.
